Program Efficiency

Our organization uses 84 cents of every dollar given for grants to support the programs and projects of our two members, the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) and Girl
Scouts of the USA (GSUSA).

Fundraising 5%

We are a volunteer based fundraising organization so our fundraising expenses are low
Members of our Friends Committees contribute and raise money from donors to support their World Centres and the general programs of WAGGGS and GSUSA
Supporters of the Olave Baden-Powell Society.also donate and raise money for WAGGGS programs and operations.

Administration 11%

We are an operating Board with one part-time paid administrator and an assistant during the last triennium. This has kept administrative costs to a minimum.
In FY2021 and FY2022, we are operating with volunteer Board members as staff. We expect to return to paid staff as we gain confidence in the future.

Fundraising Growth

Our organization depends on volunteer fundraisers committed to providing international experiences for girls and young women to learn leadership skills and develop projects to improve their communities and the world. Our volunteers either donate themselves or reach out to friends and family or both. They also create events such as teas, luncheons, cooking classes and dance programs.

Funds raised by Friends Committee members

Friends of Nuestra Cabaña, Our Chalet, Pax Lodge USA and Sangam Committees raise funds focusing on their World Centres; Friends of WAGGGS USA raise funds to support the work of WAGGGS including Girl Scouts of the USA.

Funds raised for WAGGGS Development Fund

Funds are raised for unrestricted and designated purposes to support the mission and priorities of WAGGGS, primarily by supporters of the Olave Baden-Powell Society (OB-PS), the global network of major donors to WAGGGS, many of whom are Friends Committee members

Special fundraising for Girl Scouts of the USA

Funds are raised in special circumstances for GSUSA, primarily by Friends Committee members, but gifts are accepted for both GSUSA and USA Girl Scouts Overseas to fund global programs and projects
